I guess being new to the Auto Transport Business I should have known better! This is how it works evidently at Magic Carpet. They give you the lowest cost quote (in this case $850) and even offer a small military discount. Then after two weeks of having your order, they call with the ACTUAL quote (In this case $1250). I worked with John, Lloyd and Casey and they all gave me the same runaround- "It should be no problem getting your car moved for this initial bid of $850". When they called to tell me it would be $400 higher price to actually move it, they blamed it on gas prices. Sorry, but gas prices didn't rise THAT much in two weeks. SO, I dropped them for poor business practices and went with the company I should have trusted in the first place. Yes, it cost $1150, but they quoted me the price it would take to move it and stuck with it.
