Let's be honest here. This has got to be a tough business to be in. From my own experience, I'd say a great deal of the companies that broker the transport of vehicles are liars and criminals (are you listening All American Auto Transport CA?). I contracted another company to ship my truck from Charleston to Denver and they wanted full payment and never contacted me again. I came to this site to look for reviews and decided I'd try Magic Carpet. Let me just say that as soon as I got a call from Anna, I knew this company wasn't going to screw me around. She was honest, forthright and on top of it. We came up with a fair price, I paid a deposit and waited for a truck. Now here's the thing. You're going to wait, no matter the company you choose, especially if you live off of the major highways. Charleston, SC is far enough off of 95 that it just doesn't get the carrier traffic that most cities only 10 miles off of interstates will. I waited a while, called Anna back and asked if it would help to up the ante and she felt bad, but said if I wanted, didn't have to, I could add $100 to it. A day later, a carrier contacted them and picked up the truck 2 days later. It arrived in Denver safe and sound 3 days later.
Anna, if you read this, thank you for your help and your honesty. If I ever ship another vehicle or know someone who does, I will have them contact you personally.
