I've moved coast to coast 6 times in 20 years. You always expect the least and get what you expect. This was totally different. I searched the web for carriers and was contacted incessantly by several after filling out one of the online forms. I used the reviews I saw here on Transport Reviews and trusted my gut when I saw the 5 stars for Magic Carpet Auto. Although they are a broker too like many others, Sue was explicitly clear about the process and costs. The carrier / driver himself was a bit of a character and I just went with the flow. He showed up a day early (was supposed to be 2 days early which actually threw me off logistically) and was going to be a day early on the far end (NH) but was delayed by the floods from Hurricane Irene in NY. I totally understood that. The communication from Sue/Magic Carpet was terrific. I felt she was being honest and totally open about the process and how it was all going to work. It came together, my '08 Land Cruiser made it across country uneventfully and in 7 days. Yee Haa.
