I arranged to have my daughter's car shipped from our home in California to her college in Ohio. Initial phone call was made in late July, 2009. All contact at M2Reeves was through Amber, who was always gracious, polite, seemingly knowledgeable and easy to converse with. Amber calculated a total price of $809 before rebate($209 to M2Reeves and $600 to the driver). I told Amber that the absollute earliest the car could arrive in Ohio was August 19th, as my daughter wouldn't be there before that date. The desired arrival date was the 19th or 20th. Amber then calculated that an appropriate pick up should be no earlier than 8/12 and anywhere in the 8/12 to 8/14 window. By August 17th, the car was still in California and we hadn't heard anything from anyone.

I called Amber, who asked that I wait a couple more days while they secure a driver (still hadn't been done). She suggested that in order to entice a driver, M2Reeves would have to decrease their fee and bump that amount to the dirver, so that what I paid would not change. Fine. A couple days go by and still no contact. I had to call M2Reeves again, this time speaking to another pleasant young woman, who told me that they'd have to bump the money assigned to the driver some more. One day later, a driver was found - a week later than desired.

Car was suppoed to be picked up locally on Thursday, August 20th. Ooops, driver didn't quite make it here until the 21st. Was told by the driver he would he heading out of the Bay Area that day (Friday), or Saturday morning. Ooops. Carrier didn't leave until Sunday.

So my car, originally requested to arrive in Ohio on August 19-20, was dropped off yesterday - August 28th. My daughter wasnt real happy with that but on the up side...her car was transported in an enclosed vehicle.
