I bought a 2009 Honda Civic and needed to ship it to my daughter in Wisconsin. I didn't know it was such a cutthroat business until I started checking into transport companies. Brad from Lightning Auto Carriers was the most professional agent out of many different companies I checked out. I put down a $150 deposit and the rest was not due until the car reached it's destination. The car was picked up within 5 days of signing the contarct and delivered 4 days later. Met the driver at local parking lot that was one mile from my house. I think it just depends how soon they can have a truck in the area and how quickly they can fill it, so the driver can bid on it to make their money. It was a smooth transition for me and I would recommend Lightning Auto Carriers.
