I was VERY nervous about shipping my refurbished 1988 325I convertible cross country. I had filled out an online request and I was BOMBARDED with emails/calls trying to solicit my order. Some initial quotes were lower (lowest was about $100 less) and some were more. I researched the companies and ruled out ones with poor reviews/complaints (checked YELP and BBB also). Aaron's quote was fair and he was pleasant to deal with and not at all pushy. When I finally decided to move forward, the process was very simple. I signed a few forms online, paid a $225 deposit by credit card (balance due would be cash/cashiers check/or money order to driver) and my car was picked up 3 days later (on the date I had initially requested) and deliver to my home in CA on the original estimated delivery date (you get quoted a date and a range). Car arrived no problem. Delivery driver was super nice. The carrier that Iron Auto used for shipping was A1 Trans and it turns out they are based out of the LA area, not too far from where I live. The car was picked up on a Saturday 4-15-17 and delivered to me on Tuesday 4-25-17 in the morning. The shipping costs were exactly as quoted and nothing changed. The whole process was WAY easier than I expected it to be. I had read a lot of shipping nightmare stories on the internet and I was skeptical about the whole process. My suggestion would be to stay away from the sites that take your info and then blast it out to lot of transport companies (I did that and I am STILL getting emails!). Go online and find auto shippers and request quotes from their websites. Diligently cross check reviews on different review sites - and read them carefully - then speak with a company rep a few times and get a feel for their level of competence and caring. I did all that and ended up going with Iron Auto and I am very pleased. I recommend them and I will use them again if ever I have to ship a vehicle.
