Well I can't say my experience with Interstate Auto Movers is different than anyone elses on this site. I had contacted a number of movers and went with Interstate based on the price and their delivery schedule. I paid $700 which was very reasonable but the biggest reason was they had the shortest time of transport compared to other companies. What a mistake this was. Phil told me that the company has a number of it's own trucks and also hires other companies. I figured since they were out of a proximate area as my vehicle they could hold up on their shipping dates. I arranged this in midweek and was told it would be picked up at the latest by the following midweek and be delived by that weekend. Well not only did it not show up that particular weekend, but not for the next four weekends. I called numerous times to the customer service number only to leave a message for a person named Laura, whom I'm not even sure works there since she never answered, and also never received a call back. So I had to resort to trying to get ahold of Phil who then transferred me to Nellie. Over this time period I had three 'definite' ship dates that all failed to materialize. It was one excuse after the other. First it was three different trucks broke down and is causing a delay. They then told me about all the cars that had to be shipped out of Florida, like I should understand. Don't quote me something you can't uphold. Then they finally contracted someone out of my hometown and told me how they paid an extra $50 to move my car, hey thanks buy you should have done that four weeks earlier. I could have contacted them myself and saved $200. Anyways no matter how you look at it, even if they are hundreds of dollars cheaper, they are not worth hiring.
