First Car Transport

Many years ago, I invested in a vehicle that was originally intended to be my primary source of transportation. After two years, that changed where it became more of a show car and a vehicle to use for a quick sunny day spin. Zoom forward to the present where my decision to move several states away left me in a quandary on how to get this vehicle to my new home state. Do I drive it the 12+ hours and risk the mileage and road hazards? Do I ship it? And yes, I even considered selling it.

Thankfully, after much pondering on the matter, I made the decision to ship it and started the search on the internet for auto transport companies that could handle a car that rides lower to the ground. As I began to call many of the car carriers out there, I felt at times I was being taken advantage of with too steep of prices for what the companies were asking to transport my vehicle. I would even compare so of the companies I spoke with to that of used car salesmen who were more interested in the sale then in listening to me.

This wasn't the case with Intercity Lines, Inc. I had the pleasure of speaking initially with Jim Bergeron who not only treated me with great kindness, he also listened intently to what I had already gone through with other carriers. Even better, the cost he gave me was the most reasonable of any of the other carriers I had called as none of the others were in a price range I could afford. In fact, I almost had given up with transporting the vehicle due to the costs that I was being given, until I spoke with Jim.

I was concerned over the weeks that led up to my car transport after receiving my confirmation e-mail but Jim reassured me that it would all be taken care of. When the week came to ship my vehicle out, I was also coordinating a trip out of town and was fearful they weren't going to be able to get my car in time before I left. I'm happy to say they did and my driver, Roy Sewell, made sure to get to me in time prior to me heading out of town.

Roy was amazing. He spent a lot of time in the morning reassuring me that everything would be ok and even took the time to talk about where my car would be in between his picking it up and dropping it off. During the few days in between the pickup and drop off, he even contacted me to reassure me that my car was safe and secure. On the day of arrival, he was early and I was delayed with prior engagements. He waited patiently for me at a truck stop nearby as my street wouldn't have necessarily accommodated his truck coming down it. When I finally showed up a few hours after his arrival in the area, my car was ready and waited outside his truck for me to drive home. Everything looked and felt ok and I had no snags whatsoever in this process.

I am truly grateful for Jim Bergeron, Roy Sewell, and Intercity Lines for all their help!!!
