Hardworking & honest -- even in spite of setbacks

Nicole at Hilton originally quoted me $1025 to transport our minivan from CA to VA. It was the best price around. However, a week after the first-available date for pick up, she still wasn't able to locate a driver to do the job for the promised amount. She first tried to do it by upping the $ available to drivers (basically, by foregoing Hilton's cut on the deal). Then she tried by upping the $ amount available to drivers some more (basically, by Hilton paying $ out of their own pocket to get the job done, since that was the price they quoted me). Finally, in the interest of time, I volunteered to pay more to expedite things -- within a day of posting the job for $1200, Hilton found a buyer. Hilton did not make a dime off the transaction -- they did it all because they wanted to make good on their word and provide good service.

Meanwhile, I tried to get another company, AFT Logistics to transport the car. They said they could do it for $1250, but when I tried to book them, they never called back. I found it very hard to reach them directly, and was never sure when/if they'd return my call.

Nicole was always responsive. She was honest, and viewed the problem as an opportunity to better educate herself on rates from that (coastal, mountainous) part of California. The carrier, D&R Auto Carriers, was very courteous, professional, and delivered the car faster than Hilton promised. It all worked out great in the end, despite a rocky start, and I'd recommend Hilton & Nicole wholeheartedly.
