I did an online search and found 10 companies that sent quotes to send my car. Hilton was $200 cheaper than any of the other competitors!
The process was simple: I gave them a credit card number for the deposit, type of vehicle, sending and receiving addresses and contact phone numbers. From there, they took care of everything. I left the vehicle with a friend to sign over to the shipping agent -- no problem there (I gave advanced notice of this).
To my surprise, they had an enclosed truck that did not have a full load, so my vehicle was sent enclosed for free vice the normal open-air type of transport.
Things to be aware of: of the $634.00 paid for transport, $100.00 was taken off of my credit card and the other $534.00 I had to pay in cash to the delivery trucker (Cash on Delivery). As far as delivery, you should leave the delivery day free since the trucker probably has other vehicles that need to be delivered and can only estimate (within a couple hourS window) when your car will arrive.
The shipping company and the trucker were courteous and helpful in resolving difficulties and concerns.
