The shipping of the MG TD parts car was the second MG I had shipped through High end Transport in the past 14 months. As to the parts car, they promptly responded to my inquires, gave me a reasonable quote ($800), kept me informed of the progress of the car's pick-up, dealt with payment issues graciously, hired the right guys to do the actual pick-up, transporting and delivery, and did not do any damage to the car.

The other MG TD that I had earlier shipped with High End Transport also went very smoothly. That car was in really good shape, but I decided to ship it from Oregon to NYS on an open carrier because I was trying to save some money. The car came through it with absolutely no damage, so on both of these shipments I have no claim handling experiences.

I dealt with Ernesto "Ernie" Diaz (ernie@gohet.com) at High End.

From initial call to pickup went pretty fast and they were ready to pick it up before the seller had it fully wrapped-up for delivery. For me, I'm really not to concerned with how fast I get the car, rather with what happens to it during the transportation. On both occasions the actual shippers were Russians who were careful and worked hard. If I were to ship again, I think I would want to know what kind of platform the MG would be resting on. The wheel base of the MG TD is very narrow, and I could see when they took it off the truck how careful they had to be to make sure that each of the MG's tires stayed on the wider tracks of the carrier. It's kind of hard to describe that, but they did a good job.
