The final result of my transaction for the transport of a Toyota Camry from TX to California was satisfactory. Initially, I contacted several transport companies for quotes for the transport. The High End Transport quote was the LOWEST at $684. As this quote was much less than any other quote, I checked reviews, BBB reports, and any other comments accessible online. I decided to contact High End, received assurance from their representative, Ernie Diaz, that our deadline could be met. The deposit was paid. When we did not hear from Ernie Diaz, I called and found out Ernie was NOT able to find a transporter for the price quoted. Ernie could find someone to transport for a higher amount of $750. With the deadline nearing, we agreed to the higher amount and were told the Toyota would be picked up on September 26. We contacted the driver--who spoke no English--and were told he would pick up the car that day. There was NO pick up and no further contact by driver. At this point I called High End and left a message as I could not get in touch with Ernie. Luckily, Angel (owner of company) returned my call to find out I was furious. I demanded refund of deposit. Angel agreed to refund, but asked me to let him contact the driver and find out why they did not pick up the car as scheduled. Angel advised the other company would not pick up car, but he could have another company pick up the car on Monday, September 29, if that was agreeable. Angel followed through and the car was picked up on 9/29/08 and delivered to California on 10/3/08. So Angel saved the day!! I would use High End again only if I worked with the owner (Angel).
