After receiving tons of phone calls from providers after I filled out an online quote form, I decided to use Gold Star because Helen said specifically that they don't charge anything until the pickup has been made.......LIE.

I knew this would be a difficult move. I was more than patient. It was a 1956 Suburban(huge) that would not run. I was more than patient. First quote 1300.00. which I thought was reasonable. So a week into it. Quote goes to 1500.00 I said "sure" carry on. Then the first truck shows up to pick it up, and they can't because it won't fit. So I'm not worried. Days went by, next price 1700.00. I'm still wanting it picked up. Another truck shows and they have a flat bed with steel on it and nowhere to put it(sounds dumb right?) Next Helen says we have to get a wrecker to help load it and the price goes to 1900.00..

So I'm starting to wonder how far this is going and BAM.....my credit card bill shows up and there are already two charges. One for 200 and another for 300.....

Wait! She said she would charge till it was picked up. LIAR!

Now I dispute the credit card charges and they won.....Nice.. They said their contract is just to set up the move and they did try.

I am out $500.00. But I had another broker(who was honest) move it for 1500.00 I guess if I would have left Gold Star in charge it would have cost thousands. So I saved money overall.

Receivng a negative rating is always disheartening and is a poor reflection of a business I have spent 6 years building. Years of positive reviews honestly reflect the type of business that I run and what my business practices are. Mr Goads became my client on September 25 2013 when he contracted with Gold Star to dispatch a carrier to load a 1956 Chevy Suburban non operable from Washington State to Virginia. The vehicle was located in a remote rural area and did not run. Over the course of 38 days I worked on this and dispatched not only 3 carriers but also a local tow company to assist in loading. If 3 carriers and a local cannot load this then something must be wrong. No carrier wants to waste thier time trying to load a vehicle and then driving off without it. All carriers were paid for their time and fuel and credit card authorizations were given by Mr Goad. I received nothing for my time and efforts. To be now called a liar and dishonest is hurtful to say the least but when people are upset they will say anything. Mr Goads challenged the credit card transactions and was not successful because I provided the documents showing proof of payments and authorization. He discharged Gold Star and chose another company who may have had different equipment and was able to move the vehicle. I have never charged a clients card without first obtaining authorization and only upon dispatch. Although this happened months ago I wish Mr Goads well and will continue to strive to give the best service possible. Ellen Kealey
