This was my first experience transporting a vehicle so I was not sure what to anticipate or expect. I needed to have a car in storage shipped from California to Indiana and in order to do so I needed to travel to California to prepare the car for shipment.

I placed my order on June 18 with a request for first date of pickkup on July 10. I also requested a last date of pickup for July 14 as I needed to fly back to Indiana on July 15. Time passed and I heard no word. I contacted G&L on several occasions and was told that they were still looking for someone to transport the car. I flew to California on July 8 with no word from G&L that a carrier had been located.

Once in California I prepared the car and began making plans to store the car in another location in case I did not hear back from G&L. On Saturday, July 12 I received a call from Fred at G&L stating that they had a carrier who could pick up the car on July 16 and have it delivered by July 23. Unfortunately July 16 was two days after I had requested for last pickup but Fred assured me that all I had to do was leave the keys with someone and the car would be loaded. I agreed to do so, completed my prep on the car, and flew back to Indiana on July 15.

I received notification from Fred after I returned to Indiana that the driver had the flu and would not be able to pick up the car on July 16 but would be there the next day. He did not arrive on July 17 either. Finally, he picked up the car on July 18. The car arrived on the evening of July 23 which was fine for me as I did not need to schedule any time off from work. The car arrived without damage and I was pleased with the driver.

For others shipping for the first time realize that the transport dates of your vehicle may be delayed and not match your schedule entirely. Would I use G&L again? Yes. They got my car where I needed it, undamaged, and at a good price.
