I've never shipped a car before and my kid was headed off to college half a continent away. I did my homework and after reading all of the "Horror Story" reviews on line I was as confused as ever. I put my request out and at least 3 company's responded. I chose Fast Track because they had the most affordable quote. I don't recall the name of the first gentleman I spoke to but he has VERY forthright on how car shipping works. I took his honesty into account before I booked. My booking was turned over to Donna after some SNAFU's with my info and she couldn't have been more helpful. With 1 week to go before my requested date she hustled the paperwork and set me up with a carrier. I was a little put off because the carrier was going to be picking it up 12hrs later than I requested (this site only deals in days) because I wanted to be there to receive the car when it arrived and not put the kid in an awkward situation. Any way I called the carrier direct with the info Donna supplied and they were great. The driver told me his schedule and arrived for the pick up earlier than they had anticipated and got it on the road. It arrived 24hrs earlier than the carrier anticipated I was already on a flight home so the kiddo dealt with the delivery, and "Phil" (the operator)was a gem, even offering encouragement to a young college student far from home. Overall this was a learning experience for me as well. Lessons learned: 1. PLAN AHEAD! Don't wait until a couple of weeks before if you're on a tight schedule. 2. Expect delays. These people are brokers and will find you the best carrier but everything runs on a logistic schedule (see 1). 3. DON'T PANIC! Your already wrapped up in your move and probably a little over taxed so don't get the urge to call every 20 min's. Overall this went off as well as I could have possibly hoped and all praises go to Fast Track, (Reginald, Ronald?.Please forgive me for not remembering your name) and Donna!! True professionals. I'll use them again!!!
