I contacted this transport company after getting a quote online from David Jenkins for $ 500.00 to transport a car from Ventura, CA to Corvallis, OR. Original verbal contract and invoice on 12/4/2012 stated he would charge my card for $100.00 and $ 400.00 cash on pick-up. I advised him explicitly that I was going to be moving on the 11th and out of town on the 12th hence a pick up date of the 12/10/12 was set up. I informed him of the fact that nobody will be present on the time of delivery and wanted to make sure that that was ok. He informed me to arrange it with the driver.

On December 11th, when my car was not picked up yet, I contacted David several times about my car pick up and left several messages but nobody returned my call. I later discovered that there was an email that the vehicle has been dispatched and to contact Raya Galistina of Auto-Transport in Salem, OR who has been subcontracted to do the job. I contacted this person and after several attempts was able to talk to her and she stated the truck/driver (Vitali) was delayed and was still in Anaheim, CA. She did not know when the pick-up would be and advised me that she would give me a call back in 2 hours but NEVER did.I had to call her back again that night and she told me to contact the driver.I FEEL THAT THIS IS NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY ANYMORE, however, these people do not know what good customer service is. Nobody even contacted my about the delay of 3 days for the pick.

On December 12, the day I left town, I contacted the driver who stated that he was delayed and could not give me a time frame but would pick up the car on Dec. 13th. I told him that I am leaving that day and I told him that they were very late. He was very rude and stated that I did not have an agreement with him so it was not his fault. I asked him for a time frame so I can ask my mother in law to be there for the pick up but he couldn't give me any. I proceeded to give him my mother-in-law's number so he can call her when he was near.

I also explicitly told the driver that I was not going to in Oregon to receive the car since this I was going to be driving up. He suggested that he would just leave the key on the right hind wheel instead of the front door. I said it was ok for him to do so.

On the day of the pick-up which was Dec 13, the driver asked my mother-in-law for $450.00 instead of $ 400.00 but unfortunately I left her only $ 400.00. She reported to me that he appeared to be very agitated about this. He took the car anyway.

On Dec. 14, mid-afternoon, I got an email message from David and a voicemail from my mother-in-law that the driver was trying to contact me about the delivery. Unfortunately, I got these messages late since I was driving through Big Sur, CA where there was barely any phone signal. When I was able to contact the driver, he said he did not deliver the car to the Oregon address since there was nobody there. This is contrary to agreement to leave the car at the premises. He had changed his tune. He stated the car was now in Vancouver, WA.

I left messages for Raya and David on the phone but nobody called me back. I therefore emailed David Jenkins who stated that the driver had to go through the trouble of contacting me. Really? But that is no reason to change the prior agreement of leaving the car at the agreed location.

I asked David about the change in pricing which he should have arranged with the subcontractor himself and he stated that he left me a message (which I never got) and an email. An email after the fact the car was to be picked up with nothing on the body that stated the change. Unfortunately, I did not get this email until I left to drive up North.

When I finally got to Corvallis, I emailed David again about my car but was referred to Raya Galitsina. I called her and left a message but again she did not call back. I had to call her again and now she is saying that I either have to pick up the car myself at this undisclosed location or pay for towing. On top of that, I have to pay for storage fees. When I asked her why my car was not left in Corvallis. She stated because I still need to pay them $ 50.00. It's ridiculous that for that amount you go to more trouble of taking my car elsewhere. I either could have been billed later or since David Jenkins had my credit card on file he could have charged that amount and sent that to her. Or simply, the driver should have left the $ 400.00 with my mother-in-law and should not have taken the car.

Now, I am being asked for more money for storage fees and towing fees. What a disaster or should I say nightmare.

My driver and myself could not reach Christabeth for two days. My driver cannot wait for two days to deliver a vehicle. I told Christabeth before we picked up her Vehicle that I will only charge $50 for her deposit. I also emailed her an invoice with this information.
