The folks at DAT were great!! I spoke to Holly several times as I was very nervous about shipping my son's car up north (he got a job in Ontario). I also spoke to another lady in the office and I'm sorry, but I've forgotten her name, but she was helpful with a couple of questions I forgot to ask Holly. I got 5 quotes and 3 were all within a few dollars of each other, but Holly was just so nice that I went with her. Our fee was $650, but if you deduct the rebate they are doing it was $600, which we figured was a good price, compared to renting a flatbed tow dolly, extra gas, extra days on the road wth the U-Haul, the worry over the weather and my son towing (which he's never done before) - our peace of mind was well worth the price.

They found a carrier for me within a day and made arrangements for the pickup at my convenience and kept in touch with me to be sure I'd heard from the carrier. They answered my million questions, calmed my fears and seemed so happy to help me help my son (shipping his car was his Christmas gift, as we did not want him to tow it behind the U-Haul - it was right around the time they had that big winter storm on the I-75 corrider and he's not used to driving a big truck let alone towing something behind it.

We had the car shipped to a Dearborn Honda dealer, so that he could drive over from his new home / job and pick it up after we had the 15,000 mile service done on it when it arrived. DAT helped us, since neither one of us would be there to receive the car and everything went very smoothly. The car arrived in great shape - Holly asked for a top load, since it was an open carrier, and that kept a lot of the winter road salts and things off of it. We were warned it might be dirty but the Honda dealer said it was just a little bit dirty (and it hadn't been washed before we loaded it, so it may not have been any dirtier than it was when it left).

If I ever have to ship a car again, I will definitely call these folks and I've told everybody at work and all my family about how nice and helpful Holly was - we were all really nervous about the whole thing, but we had such a good experience, I don't think any of us would hesitate to recommend DAT.
