My experience with Discount Auto and Truck Transporters was outstanding. After searching for a carrier for a few days, I was getting frustrated and disappointed in not being able to find a carrier that I can trust. I went to the Better Business Bureau's home page and searched for "Auto Transporters", which brought up a few companies. Discount Auto and Truck Transporters were among the top 5 on the list, so after reading the comments on all 5, I decided to go with this company. I called the number and a gentleman named Steve Wisotsky answered, and was able to give me a set price with no hassles and no gimmicks. He stated that to move my 2003 Lincoln Navigator from Texarkana, TX to Oceanside, CA, the total price would $995.00, with a deposit of $195.00 once a truck was dispatched to pick up my vehicle, and the other $800.00 to be paid to the driver upon delivery. He also stated that sometimes the truck driver my may ask for more money, to cover other expenses at the time of pickup (which is communicated through Steve and not the customer), and he said that if this does happen, that he will reduce the amount of deposit that I would have to pay. When the driver arrived to pick up my vehicle, he called Steve and asked for $900.00 for the total haul, and then Steve called me and told me that since the driver asked for more money, that he would reduce my deposit from $195.00 to $95.00, so his loss of $100 went to the driver. I was very pleased with Steve honoring his word the way he did, and the total service provided by this company. He truly operates with sound morals and virtue. My vehicle arrived 4 days later, on time, and just the way it was picked up from Texas. Communication with Steve and with the driver throughout the total move was professional and outstanding. I would surely use this company again.

Stan, thank you so much for the great review! I quote a price, and that is the price. It's not the customer's fault if a truck wants more money. Business and life are based on ethics, and that is why I guarantee my prices. If I make my normal money, great. If not, it's just the cost of doing business.
