We did our good amount of research, and ended up with Direct Express which was in the mid-price range and was very responsive (zero waiting time when we called the customer call center), even though they do require to pay the deposit ($150) at time of booking. They told us that it usually takes up to 10 business days (2 weeks overall) to have a car shipped. Fortunately we were not in a hurry and we could afford to wait a little without paying a higher price. As the 10 days were about to pass and nothing had happened yet, we solicited them a couple of times by phone and email. On the 10th day, since they hadn't found a driver yet, they offered to refund $50 of the deposit (which is their own compensation) and shift the same amount to the driver's compensation, in order to make it easier to find a driver without increasing the total price for us. We didn't ask for this, they offered it spontaneously and we greatly appreciated it. It worked, and a couple of days later they found a driver for us. The shipment itself was very smooth and fast, the carrier arrived on time and the car was ok. So, even though it took 2 and a half weeks to receive the car, it was a fair business and I would recommend it, especially if you don't have an immediate urgency.
