I have moved from Chicago to L.A. for a new job recently and decided to have my car shipped here. I searched the web for auto transport companies and found a whole bunch of them. However, Direct Express was among the very few that needed to know only the origin and destination cities and gave an instantaneous online quote. Other companies asked me a lot of my personal information and told me to wait for them to call back. Also, the price from Direct Express was very competitive ($575) so that I was willing to pay $100 more as a tip or "supercharge".
A few days before my preferred pickup date I was noticed that a carrier from Fenix VD had been assigned to my car and told the driver's phone number. The driver soon called me to arrange a date. I was only available on Saturday and Sunday but the driver had no problem picking up my car on Sunday. Then I flew back to L.A. and four days later he called me again saying he was going to deliver my car "as far as the truck can go" the next day, and on Friday noon my car appeared exactly as it had been before, right in front of my new apartment.
In summary, both Direct Express and Fenix VD did a great job. The whole process was arranged efficiently by Direct Express and I got the quote and paid the bill completely online and received confirmation and notices in my email. There was no waiting or guesswork. The actual transport was carried out by Chicago-based Fenix VD, with friendly, neat drivers and professional equipment. My car shared the same carrier with new Mercedez and Cayenne, among other luxury cars, so I know they are really taking care of the car bodies. I will choose Direct Express for sure if I will need to ship my car again.
