Overcharged, Late, Rude Driver

When I contracted Direct Auto Movers to move my car I was told they had their own fleet of carriers and my car would be picked up and delivered within 2 days. The original price quote was exceeded by $40.00 because I was told the carrier, Vincent's Auto Transport was going out of his way to ensure delivery by Friday. The car was to be picked up on Wednesday. Wednesday came and went. The dealer finally called me and asked when my car was to be picked up. I was unable to reach the Direct Auto or the driver. Finally I got a call explaining that the carrier was broken down and the car should be picked up and still delivered by Friday. Friday morning I had still not heard from anyone and the dealer said the car was still there. I managed to contact the driver who then gave me his lengthy tale of his problems and how he had to be home by Saturday, how he had not had any sleep and it was all my fault because no one was at the dealership to give him the car at 2 a.m. He actually called the dealer and woke him up. Not my problem nor my business. When I asked when he was delivering my car I was told he couldn't tell me and it might be Friday night, if he didn't need sleep, it might be Sunday or it might be the following week. Unsatisfactory. The car did finally arrive on Monday. The driver then had me sign a "Carrier Inspection Form" which he said was signed by the dealer and a copy left with them. In fact the dealer never signed it and a copy was not left and there are several scratches on the car the dealer says were not there at pickup. I have never heard from Direct Auto Movers since they processed my deposit money. So much for customer service. I would never deal with Direct Auto Movers nor Vincent's Auto Transport again nor would I reccommend them.
