DAS was recommended to me by the company that relocated me for a job. They delivered my brand new car with a broken passenger side mirror. They could not tell me how this happened, they actually did not even notice the damage(!) I had to point out to them that the mirror was hanging off the vehicle. They taped it with electrical tape and left.
After submitting a claim, I was called by their rep to tell me that they did in fact damage the car. They took responsibility, however, there is a $250 deductible that I am responsible for. The amount of the claim was $320. So they end up paying less than $80 for their complete and utter incompetency! When I told the Sevice manager at the dealership where the vehicle is getting repaired, he was speechless. He had never heard of an auto shipper not paying for damage they had caused while shipping a vehicle.
It is what they do after all right? Ship cars? You would think they would be able to handle it competently or at the very least, take financial responsibility when they can't.
Needless to say, my company will no longer recommend them for thier relocation services. Quite a big account to loose for $250!
