Horrible

I drove my car to the DAS contractor in Troutdale, OR. The people there were great. Since the estimated date of delivery was October 20, I didn't bother looking at the website until five days beforehand. The car was in Texas. By Saturday (the 18th) my car was in Georgia, so I figured I'd have it by Monday. But Monday came and no car, no call to tell me the status, nothing. I called the 866 number and the automated system told me my car would be delivered on Wednesday. Tuesday I called, and the date had been changed to Thursday. I talked to a customer service person who claimed to be the manager, and he laughed about the bottleneck in Georgia, telling me I was the fourth person that day who had called about my car being stuck in Georgia. Then he told me repeatedly that there was nothing he could do and that it was an estimated time of arrival only. Today I called, and sure enough my delivery date has now been changed to Friday. When I talked to Mia, she repeated the "there's nothing we can do" and "it's only an estimated time of arrival" mantra a few more times, told me my car has not yet been assigned for transfer, and there is no one I can talk to other than customer service. I chose DAS because my best friend's brother works with them. I should have researched them first. I had no idea it would be such a nightmare. I even chose to drop off and pick up my car thinking that would make it quicker (and yes, it was cheaper too). As of now, I still don't have my car, it hasn't been scheduled to leave Georgia, and I cannot get in contact with anyone who can help me. Not only will I never use this company again, but I'm writing to the Attorney Generals of North Carolina and Texas to see what I can do to make sure all potential customers are warned. This is a horrible company to deal with.

This vehicle arrived at the NC destination terminal on 10/24 and is currently awaiting customercustomer pick up. Please keep in mind that DAS offers a menu of services that allow each customer to tailor their move to meet their specific requirements. For instance, for the cost conscious customer, there is a program that provides terminal to terminal shipping with no guaranteed transit time (as is the case here). While the pricing is extremely competitive for this service, longer transit times can often become problematic for the customer. For those customers with time sensitive shipments, we offer guaranteed transit times, expedited transit times, and a Fast Track program, all available for a modest additional charge. Also, for those customers requiring services from and to the door, a door-to-door service is also available. We convey our apologies if we failed to explain the level of service you purchased and hope you will find it in your heart to reconsider using DAS in the future.
