DAS is terrible. On 8/26/5 sent them a check for $979 to the LA area office. It cleared my bank on 8/31/5. Got my bank statement on 9/2/5 and it showed the check. Called DAS because the 'tracker' showed the car in Iowa. They said that they had not gotten payment. Went to my bank on9/6/5 and got a copy of the check and a copy of the statement9Partly blocked out) and FAXED this to them. By that time they had 'found' the check and oh of course they would be picking up the car at the Iowa terminal right away and getting it Tucson.
Right away turned out to be 13 days and several phone calls. The people in the office will refer you to people that don't work there anymore among other things.
The 'tracking' system which I was told would 'give me an update every hour' never did work until it showed the car in the Tucson terminal on day 15.
15 days for a transport of about 1650 miles. Guess they don't get speeding tickets either.
I feel that DAS is at best very misleading in the advertisments as well as verbally on the phone.
I do not feel that if they had a 'lost check' that I should have been the one to contact them, I really think had I not contacted them the car would still be Iowa....
