Overall, very good experience with DAS. I was very nervous having my cars shipped, but everything worked out well.

I got an online quote and shopped around to find more options. I was able to find cheaper options, but all through brokers who could not guarantee an exact pick-up date. I didn't have that kind of flexibility, so I decided to go with DAS since they guaranteed the pickup. Finalizing the order over the phone was quick and easy. I paid $2258 to move an Audi A6 (large sedan) and Jeep Liberty (small SUV) from San Diego to Long Island with door-to-door pick-up and drop-off.

On the morning of pick-up (December 19), the driver from the locally-contracted tow truck company (Braulio from Road One Towing) was very professional and right on time. He brought the cars to the DAS depot in San Diego.

I was told to expect to receive the cars around January 3, but I got a call on the night of December 29 from the cross-country driver to schedule delivery for the next day. The streets in my neighborhood are too small for the 18-wheeler, so I arranged with the driver to meet at a local department store parking lot a few minutes away. He was already there unloading the cars when I arrived, which was a few minutes early. It was very cold, so he was a little annoyed that I thoroughly checked the cars for damage but he got over it. The cars were very dirty (as expected) so it was difficult to get a good check. I was careful to mark "vehicle not washed" on the delivery inspection sheet, in case I found damage later. I did not, as the two cars came through just fine.

I only have one issue with DAS. One of the reasons that I chose DAS is their ownership of their trucks and the fact that they don't broker services. The company that picked up my cars from the DAS lot and drove them all the way to NY was not DAS, but Interbel Service Corp from Newark, NJ. In the end, Interbel dropped off the cars ahead of schedule without any damage so I don't have any complaints.
