This was to be my first experience using an auto moving service so I really didn't know what to expect. I didn't want to drive the car cross country as it has low mileage and I also didn't want to expose it to the elements. Being March, any type of weather could happen. Kim answered all my questions knowledgeably, so that gave me a good feeling about the company; I felt they were trustworthy. The price they quoted me wasn't the lowest, but it by far wasn't the highest either. The car was picked up just outside of Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday morning and I received a call from Shelley on Tuesday afternoon to tell me that the car was already in Texas! I figured there had to be 2 drivers to go that many miles so quickly. On Wednesday afternoon, Mike from Elite (the actual carrier) called to say his driver (only one!) was about 110 miles from LA, so I figured he'd be here before I had to go to work at 8 that evening. Unfortunately, he got jammed up on our notorious freeway system so didn't get to my town until about 8 PM. My wife called me on my cell phone to say that the driver had just called and he was just up the street and could I meet him? He was to drop off my car then go back to Phoenix to deliver the car in the nose of the trailer. I was about 45 mins. away and there was no way I was going to get out to meet him, so I called Mike and explained my dilemma. He said not to worry, that they had a "window" and he'd have the driver stay in a motel so we could do this in the morning. So after getting home from work Thursday morning, I called the driver and we met at the corner where there's a large parking lot for a grocery store, so we unloaded the car in the back lot. Upon unloading, we noticed a spot about 2" long on the passenger side of the car below the rear door where the paint had somehow gotten rubbed off. I immediately contacted the seller who assured me that the car had not a nick on it when loaded, so we then called Mike who assured me he'd get the problem taken care of. I'm supposed to meet tomorrow with the touch-up man that the local dealers use, so barring any complications, this experience looks to be a positive one. I'd give Dependable my business again without a second thought and would recommend them to anyone looking for fast, dependable car moving-they lived up to their name!
