DIY Transport HORRIBLE Experience

I recently tried using DIY Transport to move a car from NJ to Florida. It turned out to be a horrible experience and would never recommend using this company. Price quote started at $479. We were not ready to ship immediately and when we contacted them a few weeks later the price went to $529. We called them on a thurs and told them we needed the car delivered by the next Friday which they said no problem , it was only two days transit and pickup is typical in 72hrs but not more than 5 days. The following Tues and Weds we called after not hearing from anyone but were assured the car would still be picked up in time. Friday came (day car was to be in Florida) and it was still not picked up. DIY called us that Friday late in the day and said the price was too low and we agreed to raise it another $100. Another few days went by and DIY called saying they had a driver to pick up on Tues. We agreed and they charged our CC. A few hours later they called and said the driver backed out but they could get another for another $50. Now the price was going from $629 to $679. At this point we said no and the car was never picked up. We called the next day to cancel and the customer service rep cancelled the order but could not refund our credit card telling us we would need to email accounting and request that separately. Numerous phone calls and stress and the car is still here , vacation plans ruined and we also still never got a refund on the cc. We may have to have the card company dispute now. Horrible horrible experience. Hope this review will save someone from the same hassle we went through.
