PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU HIRE COUNTRYWIDE AUTO .I rate them as a 0 on a scale of 1-10.I hired Countrywide Auto to pick my car up on May 9. I paid them that day and was told my car would be picked up in 3-5 days . I promised the person who had my car stored there that it would be moved in that time . After the initial 5 days passed , I contacted them and was told that they had a driver scheduled and it would be picked up any day now. That is when the stories began.... For the first few weeks it was phone tag , I would call and they would say I will call you right back, and they would not. When I asked for a manager , I started talking to Mike , who said due to the rising fuel prices it was going to cost more to bring the car back, but he would make sure it was picked up soon. 7 weeks in and that day has not came . I finally asked for a refund because if I do not get my car picked up NOW , I am going to lose it , as the person who has it stored has to have it moved . They told me I could not get a refund, then that I had to send an e-mail to get a refund and then he said again I could not get a refund he would get it moved. After now speaking to some reputable companies, I have found out that it is not standard practice to even take any money before the car is picked up. Then at that time a deposit is paid and the balance is paid as C.O.D. to the driver. So please do not give them money up front.
