Chariot originally quoted me $335 for an open carrier quote on a 1986 Honda CRX (small car). They told me (by phone) that average pickup time was 2-3 days. I faxed the contract, but the car was not picked up for a full week. When I called them a week after faxing the contract to ask when my car would be picked up, they were surprised it had not been picked up yet, promised to look into it and call me back. I called them again 2 days later later (not having heard from them yet), only to find out nobody was willing to transport the car for the amount quoted. They offered a refund of the deposit, or I could still get the car transported, but it would cost an additional $100 above the original quote. I wound up paying $5 to process my credit card, plus the added $100, and finally my car was picked up. The actual transport went off fine, and the car was delivered to my mechanic without any further problems.
