We contacted Cascade to move a car from LA to DC. To be clear, Cascade does not operate the movers - they manage the orders and pass them on to regional carriers to fulfill.

The team at Cascade was very friendly, prompt, and pretty organized. We ordered online, and from order submission to finding a carrier took less than a few days. The carrier was late by a day to pick up, but once they picked up, they delivered in 7 days, earlier than quoted. Total cost was ~1100.

The carrier they assigned us, CAA Transport, was just ok. The main gripe is that our car incurred some scratches on the bumper. When we pointed this out to the driver, he showed us a photo they took at "point of departure" - which was not when they picked up from us, but presumably at a regional hub where they loaded our car on their x-country truck. The picture was taken from several feet away so you couldn't see any detail. I suggest that folks take their own pictures before and after for proof.

The other issue was that the driver spoke very little English and was difficult to coordinate with. He was a nice guy, but I don't think the company did a good job of setting him up. At one point, he asked us to meet him at a parking lot in a suburb 45 min outside of DC to pick up the car. We said no, and he eventually drove our car into DC (our gas tank half full was empty upon delivery) and then he asked us if we can tell him how to get back to the suburbs. It worked out in the end, but it just seemed poorly planned.

In the end, it went well in so far as moving goes - our car arrived in one piece, on time, and for a reasonable price. Cascade was a pleasure to deal with, but I hope they vet their carriers further if they want to differentiate themselves as a high quality provider throughout the whole process.
