Lisa,
We are a broker, not the carrier. As it states in our terms and conditions:
The normal pickup timeframe is 1 to 10 business days. Pickup and delivery dates are contingent upon carrier availability and season. All dates and times given are an approximation. We cannot guarantee exact dates or times of when the vehicle will be picked up or delivered. Carriers may be subject to delays. Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. will not be held responsible for any expense related to a delay (car rental fees, storage fees, accommodation fees, etc.)
Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. does not guarantee transport by any specific driver, carrier, or along any specific route.
Trucks are subject to delays. The lack of communication came from the trucking company not Cascade. The reason you didn't hear from Cascade during transport is because once the truck takes possession of the vehicle, you become their customer until we contact you again around their estimated delivery. Its the trucks responsibility to check in with the broker and customer if there is a truck issue. It states in our terms and conditions:
Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. is an agent for you. We arrange for the transportation of the vehicle by finding an appropriate carrier. We do not own trucks or physically transport the vehicle. Our services end when the carrier is assigned and contacts you regarding pickup and delivery of the vehicle.
If the truck would have contacted us, we could have let you know of the delay, so if you would like to put the blame of a lack of communication, you should point the blame at the trucking company, not Cascade.
