MIKE (Terrible Experience Overall)

Overall my experience was terrible. I will detail why I say that. First off, the quote given was off by almost $300. It was only several days after my expected pickup date that I finally got a call saying that they found a carrier but the price was going way up. What is a quote for if they know it's not even accurate whatsoever? Second, the communication from Cascade Vehicle Shipping was lacking severely. I received no calls or emails letting me know that they hadn't found a carrier on time, so I was left to call several times on my own after the date had long passed just to find out what was going on. They claimed it was because of the Christmas season, however had they been on time the car would have been completely shipped and arrived almost a week before Christmas. Again, terrible communication that left us scratching our heads.

Second, the company that they chose to work with to ship the car was awful. The guy who picked the car up from Washington was great, but the guy who dropped the car off in Chicago was terrible. He called for 3 staright days saying we needed to be home that day so he could deliver the car and each day it didn't happen. He finally did come to deliver the car, but then told us we needed to go meet him at some random location to get it. I explained to him that it was door to door service and he got really upset. When he got to our home, he complained the whole time and was muttering to himself. Once the car was offloaded, it was INCREDIBLY dirty. I was trying to clean it off so I could check for damage and he "informed" me that it's not like our car is a 2012 Mercedes, it's only a Toyota Corolla so I didn't need to check for damage. Unbelievably unprofessional and rude.

I understand that the carrier's rudeness is not a direct reflection of Cascade Vehicle Shipping, however the people they choose to work with does have some bearing on their service. The 1 star rating doesn't take into account the shipper's problems though. The 1 star is purely based off the late pickup with no communication, the severly misquoted price, and the late frop off with no communication whatsoever during the trip from Cascade.

It's funny to me that they write you emails after the car has been delivered saying they are glad they were able to do everything they could to make your experience a 5 star experience. Well, needless to say, it was far from that. I would not use their service ever again nor would I recommend it to anyone under any circumstances. Moreover, they tell you not to put that you are being paid for the review, that the $30 for the review is simply a rebate. Well, I wouldn't say it's just a rebate if the pre-requisite to getting it is leaving a review. I believe that if a company asks you to boldly lie then their integrity is simply non-existent, and that's all you would ever need to know about a company in my opinion,

Mike@Cascadevehicleshipping.com 360-834-7898 Kimberly@Cascadevehicleshipping.com Matt, First, you arranged for your vehicle on the 28th of November with a ready date of Dec 15th. That is past the window that a quote is good for as it states in our terms and conditions. We do what we can to keep the quote the same, but if the pricing changes with the carriers since they set the pricing, that is out of our control. YOU agreed to take the carrier for the additional funds, you could have declined that carrier and Mike would have kept looking at the original price. Second, it was 175 more, not 300. Third, since you placed on the 28th of Nov, and your vehicle wasn't ready until the 15th, we typically wouldn't make contact until about a week before the ready date. Mike contacted you on the 6th of Dec to let you know that he was still looking for a carrier at 2:01 pm (if you would like to know the seconds I can give you that as well). Fourth, your vehicle was picked up with in the 10 days that our terms state, as you were ready on the 15th and it was picked up on the 23rd. We use this carrier on a regular basis, but cannot control what the carriers say to customers. I will have a talk with their company and remind them treat customers better than you were treated. That is something I can do. Dirty??? Your vehicle was transported from WA to IL in the dead of winter. The driver went through wind, snow, rain etc. If you were concerned about the vehicle being dirty you should have chosen to move the vehicle enclosed. Again about the inspection, if there was miscommunication about that we apologize and I will talk to them about that as well. As for being paid for the review, no you are not being paid. Included in your quote was the rebate which you will get back. So we are not paying you for the review, we are sending you a rebate for filling out this form, much like you would do with lets say Best Buy. You buy something, send in the proof of purchase and fill out a questionnaire and they send you back a rebate. Same thing. We never asked you to lie, we do the rebate whether its a positive or negative one as long as its based on our service and not the carrier. Read your terms about the rebate if you are confused. Thanks Kimberly VP of Operations.
