My Move from Mainland to Maui

Before the Thanksgiving week, I started my search for a company that I felt would treat my 2003 Honda Accord as if it were the most expensive car on the market. I soon received numerous emails stating how good their service was and I should use them.

I reviewed one particular email that caught my eye from Cascade Transport. I contacted Jeff during the Thanksgiving holiday and Jeff answered all of my questions with TRUTH. Jeff did not paint a rosey picture. He did assure me that Cascade Transport would do everything in their power to follow my car from point A to Z. Jeff and the Cascade team did.

My car was picked up at my home by A Team out of CA. The two gentlemen were on time and kept me informed of their arrival time. When they arrived to pick up my car, I have to say that both of these gentlemen were professional and nice.

When they arrived at Matson dock, they had a problem with the trunk not opening and Matson had to inspect the vehicle to make sure it was empty (standard procedure that was explained to me before hand). He immediately called me to let me know of the problem. I instructed the gentleman from A Team how to open the trunk through the backseats. Matson was able to ship the car.

I was told by Matson that my car should arrive no later than January 3rd, 2012 at the latest with Christmas in the middle of the move, I expected a little delay. On the 3rd the car was not here. After numerous calls we discovered that my Honda decided to vacation in Honolulu a little longer.

Yes, I was upset as I had a million things to do to get myself established in my new community.
I spoke with Kim and she agreed to allow me to rent a car until my car arrived. I also spoke with her supervisor, Rita, who allowed me compensation to reimburse my friend who ended up being my taxi service during the week my car was on vacation. My car arrived on the 7th of January and my friend followed me to the rental car facility and then we drove to Pier I to pick up my car. I was greeted by many smiling faces. The staff that released my car were also professional and very nice. I drove off one happy customer and Matson will reimburse me for all of the expenses I incurred while I waited. No one can beat that kind of service. It was the right thing to do and they are all about customer service. I would rate Cascade, A Team and Matson an 11 on a scale of 10 being the best. Thank you all for getting my car to Maui.
