Don't be fooled...

...by an underwhelming web site. Capitol Auto Transport is an outstanding transport broker. I chose them because their ratings by month were remarkably near perfect, with a relatively low number of actual reviews. More impressive was the "bad review" that was posted, and responded to by the owner, Andy Kraus, on 2/10/10. This gave me a good feeling about using them. I spoke with Dakota (Mike Dakota), who in spite of reassuring customers on a weekly basis about the process, was able to give me the details of the transport process without sounding rushed or insincere. He located a carrier with a 100% rating (Saturn Auto Trans LLC). Around the time the carrier was selected, they (Saturn) had upped their price by $25. I was waiting for Dakota to tell me that my price would now be higher, but surprisingly he preemptively agreed to absorb the increase. Therefore, my original quote was still good. I spoke at least three times with the driver, and he kept me updated with his progress. He talked about a tip for the driver in a half-joking way on one of the calls...still not sure if he was joking or not. Either way, the car arrived intact in excellent condition save for a bit of road/environmental dirt (it was an open car carrier). In any event, keep your expectations realistic and you'll be pleasantly surprised at how good the experience of getting your car transported can be. There are a lot of shady carriers and brokers out there, of which Capitol is not. I have no reservations about recommending them, and will look them up next time I need a car transported.
