BEWARE of Peter from Best Auto Transport. Originally, I signed a contract for my car to be transported from Mass. to Florida for $600 with Carl from Best Auto Shippers. He also had me e-sign for a deposit of $100 to be taken from my American Express. An hour later I received a call from a man named, Peter also from Best telling me that Carl stole his lead and that his quote was too low and no driver would guarantee a pick-up date. I asked for the boss, and he told me he was the boss and he could guarantee me the date I wanted for an additional $100. I asked to speak to Carl and he said he already had that Carl had no right doing what he did. I didn't know what to do because after I finalized everything with Carl, I had made my plane reservations so all I could invision was my car being left behind. So I agreed to the increase and told him I would send Carl an email canceling the contract, which I did, and he replied that he would also cancel the contract from his end and send me a new one with the increase. I then told him that I wanted that guarantee in writing and he said, no problem. Needless to say, I received the contract without the guarantee so I sent it back unsigned and asked for the guarantee but he never responded. Two days later I noticed a charge on my Visa from Best and realized he took my Visa information from the contract I signed with Carl instead of canceling it. I was furious. I then noticed that his and Carl's contract number were the same. This was a terrible experience for me.
