First off let me start by saying how crazy and overwhelming it is to even begin to think of moving anywhere especially cross country. I went on a few websites and submitted my information to get quotes about moving my son's things cross country to CA. I figured I'd get at most 3 or 4 calls and emails from company's bidding for my services. WRONG! Oh boy was I wrong, I got more than 30 phone calls in a span of 20 minutes and over 200 emails by the end of the day! Needless to say I had no clue what I was doing but I had to learn and learn FAST!

I got a call from Joe Cohen over at Beckens Moving & Storage. Joe was very helpful in explaining how the entire moving system worked. He explained to me how my information gets chopped up and sent to all different companies in my service area to provide me with competitive bids to try and earn my business. Joe was the first and only mover that was nice enough to explain that to me and he was the only honest person that called me to actually try and help me move my son's things to CA.

I gave a list of things that needed to be moved out from our basement apartment to the Sacramento area in Northern California. According to the list, Joe said my move was considered a "small load" and that I would be able to get my services out west cheap! I was very happy to hear this since I was the one paying the bill!

I hired Beckens Moving based on my conversations with Joe and all his helpful knowledge about moving. I was comfortable enough to trust them to come out to my home and pickup my son's things and ship it to Sacramento. The moving guys were great! They came out on time and did an excellent job packing and protecting everything in blankets. The movers even gave me few boxes for glass FREE! The final bill and the estimate that Joe gave me was very similar, only a $150.00 difference. Compared to the horror stories I read online and heard from people I was relieved and actually happy to only pay $150.00 more than my original price. Truthfully the additonal $150.00 was for additional items my son decided last minute, he needed to take with him.

Overall my experience with Beckens was A+++, more than words can describe. I am definitely happy with the choice I made. My son just got his things delivered to Sacramento within 10 days and the delivery went smoothly without any problems. I called my rep, Joe, and thanked him for all his help and effort in making this move quick, easy and PAINLESS. I hope anyone considering a move will find my testimonial helpful and use Beckens Moving, they are definitely a GREAT moving company to do business with!
