I am writing this review for our son, and this review relates solely to the Pick up of the vehicle. I will start by telling you that our son's 2001 Corvette is his pride and joy and that he has babied this car since he bought it new in 2001 Our son is in the Marine Corps and has been stationed overseas for the last three years and his car has been in our garage waiting for him to come home. His overseas duty has ended, he came home on leave in October and was reunited with his car. He wasn't home more than 30 minutes and he was out washing and applying his tried and true Zaino products treatment. He decided to drive his Dodge truck to California ( his new duty station) instead of the Corvette as all his gear would not fit in the Corvette. Well after about 3 weeks at Camp Pendleton he was longing for his Corvette. After weighing the pros and cons of driving the truck back here to Florida leaving it with us and driving the Corvette back out to California. and with the time it would take and the price of gas we decided the best route to go was to ship the car. This was a major decision and I mean major. After about 3 weeks of research we found Auto Zipper. We checked some other companies, got some quotes and read some fine print we didn't like. After some more research and reading the positive reviews about Zipper we decided to go with them. Our son called Brian on Friday Dec. 7th around 3 PM California time and placed the order after asking a million questions. Brian told our son he has a truck in Florida right now and they may be able to pick up the car today. About 2 hours later on my way home from work, I got a call from the Transport company telling me the driver would be here to pick up the Corvette in about 2.5 to 3 hours. I contacted the driver by cell phone gave him directions, and sure enough he arrived at our home around 8:00PM Florida time and right on time. After thoroughly examing the car and determining it was in pristine condition he proceeded to load it onto the transporter. Apparently loading a Corvette onto the Transporter at night is not the easiest thing to do but after some jockeying and adjusting various ramps up and down we had the Corvette loaded and secured in about an hour. Kudos to Chris the driver of the Transporter for taking his time and being so careful in loading the car. He apoligized to me several times for the loading proccess taking so long, but he was just being extra careful. On the cell phone with our son during the whole process, he was somewhat relieved when I told him the car was loaded just fine, it was on the lower level of the transporter right behind the cab and that there was another older Corvette in what appeared to be excellent condition also on the transporter. For the pickup portion of this deal, I will tell you that i couldn't be more happier with the service, the pickup, the professionalism, and the promptness. I'm sure our son will post the second half of this when he gets the car which should be Wednesday or Thursday of next week at the latest. Great job on the pickup part.
