Good service, but confusion over when the balance was due.

We initially understood that we would pay $200 when making the reservation, and $600 cash, cashier's check, or money order when they picked up our vehicle. We paid the initial $200 deposit when we made the reservation, and had $600 cash ready for when the driver showed up to transport the car. The driver did a thorough inspection of the vehicle, had me sign the release paper, and drove the car down the street to his waiting transport truck. I went in the house to get the $600 cash, and when I came out, the driver and my car were gone! So, we called Customer Service so they could have the driver get the cash, and that is when we were told that the remaining money would be paid only at the delivery location. Our son in Iowa, who was to receive the car did not have $600 cash, cashier's check, or Money Order to give the driver, so it was a hassle trying to arrange things on the other end. Otherwise, everything was good. AutoStar Transport Express just needs to clarify its procedure up front.
