No Customer Service/ Did not do what they promised

As I have read in other reviews Autostar Transport Express will wine and dine you and call you repetly and promise a quick pick-up and delivery, but once you sign the contract the only calls being made will be the ones you make to find out something about your transport. I made numerous calls to Mario that were never returned even though he would promise to call me back at certain times and give me an update on when they could get a transport booked and a time frame on when my car would be delivered. The first day they promised me the car would be picked up within 2 days and it wasn't and again I had to make numerous calls to even find that out. Then they were having trouble finding a driver that was running the route from Arkansas to Georgia. Then they could expedite the order to be pick up sooner if I paid more money.....which the time they were going to expedite the order up to was the time I was original quoted to begin with but now it would be a $100-$175 more.
Late on the third day about 6:00 my wife’s Minivan broke down with a bad transmission and it had to be towed to the dealer and the repairs were going to run about $3000. The car that Autostar Transport was supposed to be picking up was only partial paid for and after getting the bill for the bad transmission on her van meant I would no longer have the remainder of the balance to pay the car dealer so I had to cancel the sale of the vehicle and the dealer understood and gladly did (I guess he did want to keep me as a future customer) Autostar Transport doesn’t.
I called and cancelled the transport as soon as I got off the phone with the dealer and explained the situation to the customer service rep, that the sale had been cancelled and that there would not be a car to transport. At this time about 6:30 on the third day they had still not found or booked a transport for the car......so they had not done anything to deserve the $100 deposit I paid them. I sent an email to confirm the cancelation of the transport and included the reason why I needed to cancel. They told me that someone from their customer service department would get in touch with me on Monday. Well again they never called, so I called them numerous times and kept getting the run around. Finally on Tuesday afternoon I called again and was finally told that they would not issue a refund. Not even a partial refund which I would have been happy with, but to keep my money and never have done anything to deserve it is unacceptable. I would have understood not getting a refund if they had actually booked a transport and had to cancel it with a driver but they never did to begin with.
Bottom line DO NOT I repeat DO NOT use this company even if the price they quote you seems too good to be true ....it is and you will get the run-a-round too......Please heed this warning and learn from my mistake.......besides there are a lot of GOOD reputable companies out there that do not charge anything upfront and will still deliver great service.......Autostar Transport is not one of them.....there are a lot of bad reviews on the web for them from people on one end of the country to the other.
Save your money, your time and a big headache and stay away from Autostar Transport Express.

Dear Mr. Landreau, We are sorry that you feel the need to slander our excellent reputation as one of the best and most respected brokers in the nation with your outrageous exaggeration of the truth. By your own admission, the reason you canceled the order with us was because of some personal setbacks, and a lost deal with the purchase of another car. We sympathize with your situation, and were very well prepared to offer you a credit of your deposit towards a future transport for you, family members or any referral of yours for a period up to six months. It is something we have done MANY times with customers in similar situations as yours. However, because of your rudeness, abusive attitude, and cursing towards our staff, who had absolutely no responsibility or played any part in your situation, and who certainly did not deserve to be treated with such disrespect, we elected to NOT offer you any credit or a refund. No one at our company EVER promised you anything! We booked you in at the average market price for this route and size vehicle, and with that price comes the average wait time of 3-5 days. This is a standard within the industry. Once you started calling us two hours after you placed the order, with what we assumed was a sense of urgency on your part to get the vehicle transported as quickly as possible, we began an aggressive expedited carrier search, which yes, expedite service costs more. We attempted to explain this to you, but you seemed to think that we should be able to just call any carrier and have them change their entire schedule just for you, and at the average rate. Sorry, it does not work that way! You cannot buy a Ferrari on a Volkswagen budget! During our carrier search we contacted over 50 carriers via email and phone in an attempt to find someone in your area, running your route, and with space available on their truck. Unfortunately there were no carriers available at the exact date and time you wanted. Had we been given a fair opportunity to locate a carrier for you, and had you not canceled your order after only 3 days, we are confident we would have located a carrier for you. As far as your accusations that no one contacted you, it is pretty hard to be the first one calling you, when you are calling us twice a day to see if we found a carrier yet. All our representatives were extremely polite and courteous to you every time you called, and regrettably we were not able to provide you with the answer you wanted to hear that a carrier had been located in two days time!
