The shipping contract stated that I could pay the balance of the shipment to the driver via cash, cashiers check or money order. On the day of delivery, the driver contacted me and requested I pay in cash, stating a history of shippers submitting fraudulent cashier's checks and money orders. I informed him that I was new in town and did not have an ability to obtain the cash. He requested my bank name so his boss could determine if they would accept my cashier's check. While he accepted the check and delivered the vehicle, this information should be given to shippers or transporters told to stop hassling customers.
