Unusual Pick-up location

Michelle at AutoGo was fabulous with delivering me a quote and relevant information about the pick up at my original and destination location. Everything was timely and accurate. She was able to work with me during my last minute issues. The "goofiness" is what started when I arrived to my destination city.

I picked up my car in Salt Lake City, Utah. I was told to pick it up at "Exit 15," and given a street address. I gave the address to the cab driver (20 years of driving in Salt Lake) and he had no idea what I was talking about. He mentioned the street address I gave him was a residential area and there are no businesses around. He took me to the east part of the street (address was for west), and my car was not there. When I called to confirm the address and business name, it was correct, and when I asked for directions, the operator told me "I'm in Chicago, I don't know the area." Well, neither do I, so open up some on-line map program and tell me how to get there based on the intersection I gave you!!! She passed me on to her supervisor, who gave us a turn-by-turn route to get there. It was in a residential neighborhood with no signage or anything to indicate the location was "Exit 15." The only reason I knew it was the right spot was that I saw my car through the gated driveway. I was fortunate that the cab driver credited the meter for the out of the way stop. I do appreciate the timeliness and cost, however, it would have been nice to have picked my car up in secure lot or at least have been told that I would be going to a person's home to pick up my car.

When we coordinated the delivery at a terminal, we were under the impression that the delivery would be to a yard. Exit 15, a reputable carrier, told us they would accept delivery at their "yard". If we had known it would be at a residence, we would have verified this with the client before scheduling the delivery there. AutoGo only uses reputable companies and had not had issues like this before and will make sure to avoid anything like this in the future.
