This was my first experience shipping a car and I expected it to be more complicated but it was pretty simple. There was a delay in receiving the car but I was warned by the carrier in advance and it was not a big deal to me. The car was picked up at the home of an elderly relative who was surrendering their car to me (no longer driving) and everyone involved was sensitive to that fact.
