I heard there were some shady characters in the auto moving business, so I checked at transportreviews.com and at the Better Business Bureau. Angels stood out in both places, so I contacted them by e-mail. I received a prompt return call from Dina, who runs the business, and who made an effort not just to pitch her company but also to educate me about the process. After I thought it over and decided to go with them, my account was handled by Sarah, who was also very helpful. They picked a fantastic transport company that was very flexible about pickup and drop-off times. I had a pretty narrow drop-off window, and they accommodated me completely. They even agreed to deliver my vehicle a day early because I called and asked about an hour ahead of time. It was over an hour drive, and his wife followed in their car so he could get back! This was extremely helpful, because it's just about impossible to do anything in L.A. without a car. My car arrived in exactly the condition it left (save for some dirt which washed off easily, but obviously this is unavoidable if it's barreling 2500+ miles across the country). Including the fee for Angels, the whole thing only cost $875 total; some companies were asking $1050 or more. The driver they hired told me I'd gotten a great deal.

What more can I say? Angels took the hassle out of one of the most difficult pieces of my cross-country move so I could concentrate on other things, and they did it at a great price. I hope I don't have to move that far again, but if I do I know whom I'll call about moving my car.
