So I was doing some research and was considering whether I should go through a broker or through a transporter directly. In the end after looking at this site and the reviews I chose to go with Angels Moving Autos. On the Friday I called they seemed to be a bit busy because I had trouble getting to the person handling the quotes. And in the afternoon I was told someone would get back to me but that didn't happen that day so I got the quote on Monday instead after calling them 2-3 times. To be honest here, had they not had such a great score on the site I may have considered contacting another company at that point. But from that point on I didn't have any problems getting hold of them.

Once I spoke to Michelle I got the quote and found her to be very helpful. I got a quote and a schedule notification that my car was to be transported by Custom Transport on a August 2nd, Saturday. The notification said the driver of the transportation company would call 5-8 hours ahead to provide more exact times. Come afternoon I'm wondering why no one is calling and call Custom Transport to check. Seems there's been some confusion between them and Angels Moving Autos and now they are not picking up the car. From what I gather the confusion was mainly at Custom Transport but to give them credit Leslie (I believe) did offer to pick up the car and hold it in the event that I wasn't able to get a new pickup scheduled by Angels Moving. This would probably delay things though.

Anyway this was Saturday. On Monday I got a call back from Angels and they had located another transporter. First Choice Trucking. This turned out great. They were able to pick up the car the day before I moved, on a Monday, and delivered it in the afternoon on Wednesday the same day I got there. First Choice Trucking was very professional, friendly, and they had good things to say about Angels as well. And most importantly the car was promptly delivered and in good condition.

So despite the initials effort to get a quote and the whole mixup with First Choice, I will give Angels the benefit of the doubt. They went out of their way to find another transporter and everything worked out fine. I would definitely recommend them because of their professionalism but also because they seem to have a good relationship with their transporters. Prices are probably about average and you may find a better deal going through a mover directly but it all depends on the route you're going and the availability of movers for the route.
