The company vs. the driver.

I was referred to Angel's by my parents who had recently had their Mercedes moved from Texas to California. They were very pleased with the service and the delivery. I still did my research and Angel's had great reviews and was fiscally one of the best choices. While knowing all of this, I was still worried about having damage done to my car, but the woman I spoke with over at Angel's (Heather, I think) calmed me down and worked with me through the entire process. I never needed to explain who I was or where my car was going to after the first time, in fact, through caller ID they knew who I was and already had my information up before answering the phone. I really loved the people over there.

Then there was the driver. The man who picked up my car. He had called the day before and said he would be there by noon. He was not. So I called and said that I would wait around until 6 or so. He said thank you and that if he wasn't there before six, he would be there the next day at 8 a.m. He wasn't at our meeting point at 6, so my boyfriend and I went out to dinner. While there, we each had a couple of glasses of wine, since we had walked from our apartment to the restaurant and were not planning on driving. At 8 p.m. this man calls my phone telling me that if I didn't bring the car then it wouldn't be picked up for another week because he was continuing to drive that night to pick up another car in a neighboring city the next morning. While I could not drive, I had to ask a complete stranger (one of my boyfriend's friends) to drive my stick shift (which he was not used to) and pay for a cab back home because the truck wouldn't fit on the streets near my building.

But my car arrived on time with no damage at a decent price, which is I suppose what everyone is looking for. Overall I would say that Angel's is fantastic, but that particular driver was not.
