This customer shipped with our Select Rate, which includes AFTA. In a situation such as this, a customer can submit a claim to AFTA up to 48 hrs after delivery to help with compensation. A carrier's insurance will only compensate if the damage is noted on the Bill of Lading at delivery. There are occasions that a carrier will transfer the vehicle onto another truck to access smaller roads.
