AmeriFreight was professional, knowledegable, honest, and reasonably priced. I am very pleased with the service I received to ship a modified Ford E350 van, 11 feet tall from California to Virginia. I received two days notice before pickup and did not have to pay the $2000 until delivery, unlike another company that required payment upon pickup. AmeriFreight's fee of $195 was reasonable; another company wanted $300 for the same work. The van was picked up on a Friday night and delivered in perfect condition Monday morning, less than three days!
A couple of months ago, I used ASC Transport to try to get the van out to California, but they completely dropped the ball. The quote was $1500. A pickup was scheduled, but it turned out there hadn't been good communication between the dispatcher and the driver, and the driver was not aware that the van would not fit on his truck. So we had to cancel a few hours before the supposed pickup time, and then the company was not able to find me another spot for the next week and a half. They also said I was going to have to pay several hundred dollars more. We ended up driving the van to California. I was prepared for a similar headache for the return shipment, but AmeriFreight did what they said they would when they said they would do it for the price they originally quoted me. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.
