The car transportation business was totally foreign to me when my husband and I found our dream car across country. Our agent, Melissa, explained how AmeriFreight does business, how the industry works, how they protect our assets by only working with the most reputable transport companies, and she did it in an easy-to-understand, transparent way. She was also flexible with us as our shipping date moved, friendly and easy to talk to, and made communicating, even on weekends easy for us. We found another company that promised us "market" rates (the same rate AmeriFreight quoted us, however AmeriFreight told us that transport companies have the right to bid higher). The competitor got good reviews and "guaranteed" the rate so we were inclined to go with them. However, we found out later that they weren't totally upfront (that is, they posted to the same boards AmeriFreight does and both companies let you set the rate, but someone has to accept it and could bid higher). That "guarantee" only worked if a transport agreed to accept the price, but the market showed us that wasn't likely. If you can afford to wait weeks or months for the rate, then maybe its close to a "guarantee". I didn't like that the competitor wasn't upfront about the real process unlike AmeriFreight, who gave us the information we needed to make a smart decision which was paying a little more to get timely service in a competitive market - remember, ArmeriFrieght would still let us wait for the more competitive offer, just like the other company, but with AmeriFright, we choose to ship sooner. Out vehicle arrived in perfect condition in less than half the estimated time. We were so please all around! The agent's ability to communicate honestly and directly made all the difference to us!
