Car transport from PA to CO

Although the transport of our Santa Fe did not go perfectly, I was very impressed by AmeriFeght's customer service and personal support. I contacted AmeriFrieght on February 27th regarding the transport of my car, initially from Lake Luzerne NY, to CO. We planned to leave for CO to resettle in our new home on March 7, so we did not give AmeriFreight much time to locate a carrier for our vehicle from the small, off the beaten path, town we lived in. As a result we took the car to our daughters home, outside of Philadelphia PA, and left it with her, until AmeriFreiight could transport it to CO. March 13th we were in CO awaiting closing on our new home when AmeriFreight notified us that they had a carrier to transport our car and it would be picked up that day and we would receive it in CO about March 16th. We received a call from the driver of the carrier saying he was on the way to pick up our car at our daughters. I advised him to call my daughter and he said he would do that. But when we called our daughter, she said the car was still at her home and had not been picked up. Over that week we got mixed messages regarding the transport of the vehicle. In fact, one email indicated the car was enroute, but our daughter told us it was still at her home in PA.
We were becoming concerned about the delay in transporting our car, the misinformation we were receiving, the inconvenience of not having use of our car here and the added responsibility we put on our daughter to be available for phone calls regarding the transport of the car and the pick up, when she is busy selling her home, managing a young family and also expecting a baby.
I called AmeriFreight to express my displeasure and received a very satisfactory response to my call. They upgraded the transport, absorbed the additional cost of this carrier, maintaining the original price quote we received from AmeriFreight. and our car was picked up on March 20th and delivered to our new home within days. Although a bit dirty from the trip, it was in excellent condition and the driver was courteous and pleasant. Overall impressed with the customer service AmeriFreight provides their customers.
