I had a very pleasurable experience working with Kimberly. She was very informative and knowledgeable. From the initial contact, she guided me through the entire process.
But, lets get into details. I was moving my car from SFO,CA to IA. I needed the car picked up by the 26th of Feb. She let me know the cost and the payment options. I would have thought paying all at once would be cheaper, but Kimberly directly me against that. There was an extra 9% fee paying it all on my card. Instead, I paid the deposit on my card and paid the carrier in cash. Kimberly also let me know that she needed a week window to guarantee pickup. That was a window I could work with.
At first, they found a carrier that kept changing their window to pick up the car. Kimberly directed me away from that one. She found another carrier with firm pick up date. This was one she was familiar with and recommended highly. The car was picked up on time at near my house (20th)
The car was supposed to be delivered on the 25th. But, they got there early -- much earlier than I anticipated. I was not prepared for such a quick delivery. (the 23rd). Working with the Hauler was easy. They contacted me on the evening of the 22nd to set up delivery. They found a place about 6 miles from my house where the truck could pull into and pull out of easily. I was able to arrange a friend to be there when the car arrived.
The car was delivered in the same shape it was picked up in, All seems fine.
Now, one drawback. I was quoted about sevenfortyfive. They were well below what the actual wound up being elevenhundred. However, the actual was on par with other quotes I received. So, I don't feel like I was taken advantage of. Also, Kimberly did try numerous haulers and found the price to be similar with them.
All in all, i was happy to have chosen AmeriFreight as my broker for this move.
